Social media moderation policy

We welcome your comments and questions and encourage discussion on our social media channels. To keep our pages a safe and positive environment for everyone, please be polite and respectful towards other users and staff.

We may hide or remove comments that contain:

  • personal attacks or defamatory statements about an individual
  • offensive comments that target or disparage any ethnic, racial, age or religious groups, gender, sexual orientation or disability
  • confidential information or disclose private information or details of our Board members, Shareholders’ Committee, staff, other users or individuals
  • misinformation or disinformation
  • spam or advertising
  • offensive language, abuse, harassment or threats
  • nudity, pornography or child abuse, or comments referring to these
  • illegal content, instructions for illegal activity or advocating illegal activities
  • material that violates the copyrights or trademarks of us or others
  • content not relevant to water projects or services.

If your contributions repeatedly fail to comply with these rules, then you will be blocked from posting.

We will, at times, turn off comments if there are repeated breaches of the moderation policy, or if staff are struggling to monitor the volume of comments and questions coming in.
