Notice of upcoming board meetings

From 1 July 2027, Central Districts Water will be responsible for water services for Horowhenua, Palmerston North and Rangitīkei District.

Central Districts Water is jointly owned by the three councils, and they continue to be responsible for water services until next July.

Work is now underway on establishing the organisation, including the independent Board of Directors now having regular meetings. 

The next two meetings are:

Wednesday 27 May
Time: 8.30am–3.30pm
Location: Central Districts Water meeting room, Palmerston North City Council Civic Administration Building, Te Marae o Hine, 32 The Square, Palmerston North.  

Wednesday 10 June
Time: 8.30am–3.30pm
Location: Central Districts Water meeting room, Palmerston North City Council Civic Administration Building, Te Marae o Hine, 32 The Square, Palmerston North.

Future board meetings dates and times will be published on the Central Districts Water website. 

Board meetings are held at the offices or facilities of Horowhenua District Council, Palmerston North City Council or Rangitīkei District Council. Please check the location before attending. 

Meetings occur in areas that are not publicly accessible without swipe card access. If you would like to attend a meeting, please contact secretary@centraldistrictswater.co.nz before 5pm the night prior to the meeting.

Reports for each meeting will be available on this website two days before the meeting. 

Minutes of the previous meeting will be available on the website as soon as they can following the meeting, and updated again following their adoption at the next board meeting if any changes are required. 

The meetings are not recorded or streamed live. They may finish early or involve travel to sites. Please refer to the reports prior to the meeting for detail.
